Insurgent
Insurgent premiered on March 20th 2015. It stars Shailene Woodley as Tris, Theo James as Four, and Kate Winslet as Jeanine. This is the second of the Divergent series, and while, for what it was, it was an entertaining movie, it differed vastly from the novel.
The differences include characters that were invented, and a focal point of the movie that never existed. In the movie, the whole point was for a Divergent to pass all of the faction trials, and open this mysterious box that will supposedly prove that what Jeanine is doing is right. Of course, Tris is the key, and when this box is opened, the founders tell them that their world was an experiment, and the Divergents are the saviors.
The box never existed in the novel, so that was a disappointing factor. Other than that, for an action movie, it was very entertaining, and I didn't think the actors were at fault. Overall, I would rate this movie a 7/10, because it is really disappointing when a series varies so vastly from the novels themselves.
