THE Week FROM HELL.
Have you ever had one of those weeks where everything that could possibly gone wrong has?
To start off the week, my fiance and I were making dinner together as we usually do. He was boiling pasta while I was sautéing some chicken. All of a sudden, the water in the pasta pot started boiling rapidly, and all of a sudden it was like a firework show in our kitchen.
To put some insight here, we have coils for our heating elements on our stove. Turns out, if the insulation in the coil wears out, the heat hits the metal, and it starts exploding. Thankfully, it won't cause a fire, but it DID burn a hole right through one of our pots, causing water to go EVERYWHERE.
Next, on the list of crap that could go wrong, we were getting ready to take a shower, and for some reason, the faucet with the shower diverter BROKE, so only water would come out of the bath faucet instead of the shower head, so we had to take turns washing our hair and using a wash cloth from the sink in our kitchen.
Then, we had to buy wood to elevate our bed on our bed frame because for what ever reason, the company the bed frame was from didn't send us the slats, center supports, or wood screws needed to finish putting the frame together. (Keep in mind we couldn't get those pieces replaced because the frame was a gift.) We buy the wood, come home, realize the wood screws we bought were too long for the wood and bed frame and since we didn't want our cat to get hurt, we had to go buy shorter ones. My fiance also doesn't have a drill so he had to use an electric screw driver, which 1) died every 20 minutes or so, and 2) he ended up breaking 2 drill bits into the frame, which caused the bed frame being an all day affair. Finally we got the bed together and it is AWESOME.
The cherry on the top though was the toilet getting clogged and having to spend a good hour and a half unclogging it whilst getting toilet water all over the floor. Talk about gross.
